In case you missed the third annual ACA’s last night, we’ll catch you up to speed with all you need to know: Luke Bryan. With 9 brand new guitars to take home, Bryan really must not have wanted last night to end.

Hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth for the third annual event, the night was full of repeat winners, surprising performances and a slew of A-list presenters.

It was the new country music triple threat that took the top honors last night with Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Eric Church winning big. The Only Way I Know singers took home Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Touring Artist of the Year and Song of the Year amongst the three of them.

While some may say that country music has too many award shows, each show carries a different meaning and importance to the genre. The ACA’s are 100% fan voted so the fans show the industry how they feel about the music of this year. Country music is the most responsive genre where radio play still greatly affects album sales; airplay leads to a 3.2% increase in music sales.

The ACA’s further prove this fact with fans voting Bryan’s I Don’t Want this Night to End  the best single of the year and Mediabase confirming it was the most played radio track overall.

Fans also went on to declare Jason Aldean as the Touring Artist of the Year which is looking like it will carry over to 2013 as he’s already sold out Fenway Park in just 7 minutes.

Other big winners include Miranda Lambert with 3 and Carrie Underwood added to her past 9 wins with 2 which led her to set the record for the most total ACA’s won.
