Neste Event Marketing was represented at the 2011 Billboard Country Music Summit.

Neste President, Gil Cunningham  spoke on a panel discussing Touring Saturation with Darin Lashinsky, CEO of NS2; recording artist Charlie Daniels; Billboard’s Ray Waddell; Ali Harnell, Senior Vice President of Clear Channel Entertainment; Brian O’Connell, President of Country, Live Nation; and President of Red Mountain Ent, Gary Weinberger.

Gil provided insight on the current industry, saying “business is extremely healthy and provides good opportunities for developing acts. “If you’re a baby act, there’s good opportunity for exposure,” he said in terms of getting in front of radio and consumers.” quote via Beth Gwinn from NS2.

Panelists had a split decision regarding ticketing solutions with discount retailers such as Groupon or Living Social.

“What do you tell the fan who paid $75 and finds out their friend paid $35 on Groupon asked Harnell.

“Don’t put them next to each other,” O’Connell said.
